• Chicago Blade Runners is an Amputee Running Group located in the Chicagoland area.
  • All are welcome! We have all levels of runners from beginners to competitive athletes.
  • If you have never run before, we have members that can teach you the proper technique and how to train.
  • If you are an able bodied runner interested in running as a guide please contact us.
  • Our group is about getting out, having fun and supporting each other.
  • We run a number of 5k's a year. Some of our members are active competitors in triathlons. Come and join us!

Congrats to Veron who completed his very first 5K last month! Such a huge accomplishment!


We hope to can get more of you out there for this next race to share in the excitement of crossing that finish line.







The next Chicago Blade Runners 5K is on Saturday, July 24th.


The 5K will be in Lincoln Park, downtown Chicago. The run starts at 9am by the Lincoln Park Grant's Statue.
The race benefits lung cancer and it states on their website that it's only a race if you want it to be and
the goal is just to get to the finish line however you are able to.


This is a perfect race for you first timers if you are able and willing to give 3.1 miles a shot.
